Pathways Pastoral Counseling was begun out of a corporate vision of helping and providing a clinically competent and theologically informed resource to aid those struggling in marriages, families, relationships, workplace stressors, and those experiencing chronic illness. Originally created by and under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Trey Kuhne and members of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg, SC, the mission of Pathways Pastoral Counseling is to promote, equip, and restore healthy relationships in individuals, couples, and families. This mission is expressed as a non-profit fee-for-service pastoral marriage and family therapy ministry of helping persons with those particular challenges and difficulties that life can present.
Pathways Pastoral Counseling was created to be a service and resource to the Upstate community regardless of religious affiliation. Its continuance is established by fees collected for counseling services, by generous donations by individuals and families who support the mission, and those who generously support the Tim Taylor Memorial Scholarship Fund, a special fund designed to provide scholarship assistance on a one-to-one basis to those without insurance or otherwise unable to afford the full counseling fee.
